California Nurses Endorse Holober for SupervisorThe California Nurses Association has endorsed my candidacy for San Mateo County Supervisor. Nursing is America's most trusted profession, according to the Gallup Poll - for good reason. We and our loved ones experience firsthand how hard these front line health care providers work to make sure that their patients receive quality care. As a San Mateo County Community College District Trustee, I have worked to address the health care needs of an aging population. We opened a new RN training program at Cañada College, to augment the nursing program at College of San Mateo. I have worked with CNA on statewide efforts to control skyrocketing health insurance premium rates. CNA Co-President and South San Francisco resident Zenei Cortez, RN, stated "Richard Holober is a statewide leader for high quality health care that is accessible for all. Richard helped to double the number of registered nurses trained at San Mateo County Community Colleges. The California Nurses Association is pleased to endorse Richard Holober for San Mateo County Supervisor." CNA represents nurses at all acute care hospitals in San Mateo County, including Seton Medical Center in Daly City, Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco and Redwood City, Mills Peninsula in Burlingame and San Mateo, San Mateo Medical Center, and Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City. |
